Blanca Sandoval with E&B Elotes in McAllen, Texas. She is originally from Gómez Palacio, Durango, Mexico. Her husband started the business from scratch by using a grill he borrowed from a friend. Over the span of few years the business grew and they established it under the name E & B. The name stands for the initials of Blanca and her husband Ezequiel. Now the business has two locations, this one in North McAllen and another one in Mission.

The signature item on their menu is roasted corn on the cob prepared in a “ranchero style.” The elote is prepared in the traditional Mexican way that includes mayonnaise, butter, white crumbled cheese and picante sauce on top. They also serve corn in a cup with similar condiments.
